How to Apply / Remove Your Press-On Nails
Getting a flawless, long-lasting finish is easier than you think! Follow these simple steps:
Application
What you'll need:
- Your Georgia's Custom Nails press-on set
- Nail glue or adhesive tabs (nail glue included)
- A nail file and buffer (nail file + buffer included)
- Rubbing alcohol or nail polish remover (non-acetone) ( rubbing alcohol included)
- Cutical pusher (included)
- Cutical oil ( included)
Step 1 — Cuticals
Using the cutical pusher provided push back your cuticals and remove any skin that may be attached to the nail, (if the cuticals are overgrown cut them back with cutical clippers) ensure the nail is free of any debre.
Step 2 — Nail prep
Remove any old polish ( if wearing any) and wash your hands thoroughly. Buff the surface of your natural nails lightly and wipe with rubbing alcohol to remove any oils — this is the most important step for making them last!
Step 3 — Find your fit
Lay out your press-on set and match each nail to the correct finger. Choose the size that fits your nail bed best — it's fine to file the sides slightly for a perfect fit. Due to Georgias Custom Nails providing custom nails to suit you, your nails with already be set out in order and should need minimal filing, ( it really does depend on what you like )
Step 4 — Application
Apply a small amount of nail glue to your natural nail (or press on an adhesive tab). Add a bit of glue to the top end of the press on ( side that sits by your cuticul) place the false nail down firmly from the cuticle end, holding for 10–15 seconds. Avoid getting glue on your skin.
Step 5 — Enjoy!
Your nails should last 1–2 weeks with proper care. Avoid soaking in water for long periods and try not to pick or peel them off.
Removal
Removing your press on nails have never been easier, simply follow the instructions below for safe removal that ensures your press on nails can be used multiple times
What you will need:
- Cutical pusher (included)
- Nail buffer (included)
- Cutical oil ( included)
- Nail glue Remover (included)
- Alcohol wipes (included)
Step 1 - Cuticals
Push back cuticals and ensure there is no dirt or debre around the nail
Step 2 - Nail Glue Remover
Place 2-3 of the nail glue remover around the edges on the press on nail ( do not flood the nail ) and wait 5-10 seconds
Step 3 - Remove the press on
Using the cutical pusher slowly push the cutical pusher under the press on nail, ensuring the edges start lifting, if you have having trouble lifting the press on nail simply add more nail glue remover keep doing this gradually getting further to the middle untill the press on nail pops of
Step 4 - Aftercare
Once the press on nail is off buff the natural nail removing an glue residue that may be left and apply a good amount of cutical oil rubbing into your cuticals and nails
Step 5 - Press on nails
Once press on nails are removed, removed any remaining glue that may be stuck to the press on nail then store away for future use.
